Impact of High Switching Speed and High Switching Frequency of Wide-Bandgap Motor Drives on Electric Machines

چکیده

The emergence of fast-switching wide-bandgap (GaN, SiC) power electronics devices has enabled motor drive systems to achieve high efficiency, density, control bandwidth and high-level integration. However, the speed switching frequency result in an increased level overvoltage at both terminals stator neutral. This increases stress across winding insulation bearings. paper investigates three types overvoltages, i.e., differential mode (DM) (phase-to-phase) terminal overvoltage, common (CM) (phase-to-ground) CM neutral (motor ground). Both (high dv/dt) effect on are investigated this paper, where not been fully addressed existing literature. Significant is observed when or its multiples coincide with cable anti-resonant frequency. behavior impedance used identify oscillation explain observations for overvoltages. analysis tested using a 7.5kW setup without four-core cable, driven by SiC GaN three-phase inverter up 250kHz 40kV/ μs. In addition, bearing current, which main cause degradation, also increase current due effect.

the impact of musical texts on the text recall of young learners of english in isfahan junior high schools

abstract although music possesses some kind of power and using it has been welcome by many students in language classrooms, it seems that they take a non-serious image of the lesson while listening to songs and they may think that it is a matter of fun. the main objective of the present study was to investigate whether learning a foreign language through musical texts (songs) can have an impac...

Application of Speed Estimation Techniques for Induction Motor Drives in Electric Traction Industries and vehicles

Induction motors are the most commonly used in the traction industries and electric vehicles, due to their low primary cost, low maintenance costs, and good performance. Speed identification is needed for the induction motor drives. However, using of speed sensors in the induction motor drives is associated with problems such as, extra cost, reduced reliability, added mounting space, etc.. Ther...

Isochronets: A High-Speed Network Switching Architecture

Traditional switching techniques need hundredor thousand-MIPS processing power within switches to support Gbit/s transmission rates available today. These techniques anchor their decision-making on control information within transmitted frames and thus must resolve routes at the speed in which frames are being pumped into switches. Isochronets can potentially switch at any transmission rate by ...
